Shift Supervisor

Shift Supervisors are responsible for:

  • Assisting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with all facets of the successful operations for an M.S.R.I. Restaurant.
  • Providing a high level of leadership to the restaurant and the employees.
  • Supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with all aspects of generating sales and profit growth efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Non-Negotiable Standards

Mid-South Restaurants, Inc. appreciates your interest in employment with us.  We pride ourselves on our quality of food and hospitality.  Prior to filling out an application for employment, please read the following Non-Negotiable standards and feel free to discuss any of these with the hiring manager.

1.       M.S.R.I.'s uniform requirement consists of slacks, belt, socks, non-slip shoes and company provided
          clean shirt(s), name tag and hat.  All items will be worn in a professionally accepted manner.
 
2.       We require you to come to work in a clean, wrinkle free uniform demonstrating good personal
          hygiene habits.  Men must be clean-shaven; however, a neatly trimmed mustache is permitted. 
          Ladies may not wear nail polish or wear excessive jewelry; one ring per hand, one earring per earlobe
          is the maximum.  If hair is long it must be worn pulled up and restrained by an approved method.  Any
          facial or tongue piercing jewelry must be removed prior to reporting to and while working.
 
3.       Transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift is required.  We do not pick up or drop
          off employees.
 
4.       You must be able to provide two forms of identification in compliance with Federal Laws and the
          Department of Home Land Security.
 
5.       We are a drug-free, alcohol-free environment. This is a no tolerance agreement.
 
6.       Our employees are expected to arrive to work on time for scheduled shifts and are expected
          to work the entire shift.
 
7.       We promote teamwork and we expect our employees to promote the same team attitude.
 
8.       We expect SMILES to be part of the uniform, worn daily while working.
 
9.       Breaks are not permitted between 11am - 2pm or 5pm - 8pm.  When given, they are 30 minutes
          minimum and are unpaid.
 
10.    Part of our cleanliness program requires all employees to participate in the following activities:
         sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, picking up parking lot trash, making trash runs and
         washing dishes.
 
11.    Profanity will not be tolerated within the restaurant and is a cause for termination.
 
12.    Telephone use is not permitted unless it is an emergency.  Personal phone calls may not be made or
          received in the restaurant. Excessive telephone usage could cause termination.
